Platysmal Bands Correction

Platysmal bands are the vertical rubbery bands/lines visible in the ageing neck running from the jawline downwards. These arise from the thin sheet-like muscle that adorns the front of the neck, known as the platysma. They occur in both sexes, usually over the age of 45, however may be slightly more conspicuous in women.

Using anti-ageing muscle relaxants, a series of injections are administered along these lines in specific doses and configurations, according to the skilled judgment of the aesthetic doctor. By relaxing these vertical bands, they are greatly reduced in prominence, and may even disappear, leaving a rejuvenated neck.
