Our non-surgical treatments are based primarily on muscle relaxant anti-ageing injections, and dermal fillers.
All our treatments are temporary, lasting typically between 4-8 months depending on the individual, and are entirely reversible (should reversal be required). The treatments need to be repeated after this time in order to maintain the cosmetic result, but evidence shows that over time the treatments may last longer thus being required less and less frequently.
Dermal fillers are based mainly on hyaluronic acid compounds, which again are entirely reversible unlike silicone-based fillers which were used in the past. The aims of dermal fillers are to replenish, revolumise, and restore the youthful contours of the face. They are injected under the skin and coalesce with the dermis layer to add gentle volume under the skin. The principle is: if a balloon is filled with air, the creases and wrinkles in the deflated balloon disappear. This analogy may apply well to ageing skin.
Anti-wrinkle injections on the other hand, are potent muscle relaxants, and work by relaxing the individual muscle of the face into which they are injected. The principle is that fine lines and wrinkles are caused by tense muscles in the face, hence relaxing them eliminates these signs of ageing. The expertise of the doctor lies in working out the ideal balance of agonist and antagonist muscles of the face, and which to relax, in order to achieve the optimum cosmetic outcome.
All treatments listed are typical approaches for the specific problems illustrated. Your particular treatment may involve a variation or combination of these, depending on our clinical assessment upon your initial consultation.
Because treatments are tailored according to the specific situation, so are prices. We do not therefore list prices on our website as these may be misleading.
